Had a thought, we are on the outside of a spinning planet yet we don't fly off of it. If the spinning of the Earth regulates it's temperature than does it also regulate the gravity here? And if it were to stop would we all be crushed by overwhelming gravity?

Do you remember the "Gravitron" carnival ride where you lean against the wall and the force of the spinning holds you in place while the wall rises and hits the ceiling?
my point is there has to be some type of effect on the gravity in two directions to keep us on the ground but not held there with too much force.
